Dr. Oscar Coetzee brings more than two decades of experience in nutritional science and clinical education, including university teaching and work with clinicians on metabolomics, psychonutrigenomics, and gut-focused protocols. Danielle Arnold is a clinical nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner who supports providers in interpreting functional tests and building microbiome-centered care plans, and she teaches clinical nutrition in an academic setting as well. Together, they are experienced educators who regularly speak with both professional and lay audiences about gut health and the microbiome’s role in whole-person care. DR. OSCAR COETZEE has over 25 years of experience in psychology and nutrition and is currently serving as the VP of Clinical Education and Practitioner Support at Designs for Health. His academic credentials include faculty positions at Georgetown Medical School, Notre Dame University, and the University of Bridgeport. Born and raised in South Africa, Dr. Oscar’s educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in criminology and psychology, master's degrees in Psychology and Human Nutrition, a PhD in Holistic Nutrition, and a Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Oscar is recognized as a pioneer in nutritional science, focusing on metabolic syndrome, intestinal permeability, type 2 diabetes, sports performance, and chronic inflammatory diseases. His work is motivated by a profound commitment to revolutionizing patient care through integrated health strategies.
Danielle Arnold is a Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine Practitioner, educator, and speaker passionate about helping patients and practitioners address the root causes of chronic illness through nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She serves as the Director of Education and Clinical Lab Products at Designs for Health, co-founded The Source Functional Nutrition, teaches oncology nutrition classes at the New Mexico Cancer Center, and mentors future nutrition professionals through Purdue Global and the CNS Alliance.
